We’ve hit December, meaning it’s now perfectly acceptable to crank up the Michael Bublé Christmas album, dust off your favourite festive jumper and shovel down a mince pie or two – although in my opinion this was perfectly acceptable a month ago. Since we are all getting in the mood, spending the weekend at Christmas Market is the most exciting thing and The Hackney Christmas Market is the one we’ve got our eye on!

Happening this weekend (8th-9th) and next weekend (15th-16th) opposite Hackney Central Overground station on Bohemia Place you can expect to see over 50 independent traders and makers showcasing a plethora of goodies, from trees to jewellery and vintage clothing to craft beer. Enjoy the music and the cheer and get some Christmas shopping done while you’re at it!

In addition to the offering of goodies and gifts, you can enjoy a treat and a tipple supplied by home of the borough’s coolest venues, from popular event space Night Tales to a ‘Breaking Bad’ cocktail experience from the world’s first molecular cocktail bar, ABQ London. Open from 11am-6pm, you can make a day of it and get stuck in to what this time of year is all about!
